Booostr Weekly Progress Report for 11/29/2024: Fixes, Focus Happy Thanksgiving!

Introduction

Happy Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and all that!  As we are heading into the end of the year we have slowed down our weekly pushes and updates as we are fully focused on completing two milestones before the end of the year.  This will be our last weekly update until we start the release of those new features.

The first feature we will be releasing is the new website and tool interface!  This will be a version 2.1.0 as we will be continuing to update the new site and tools as we move forward. We have already discussed the new site last week so we won’t get into it this week.

The Second feature we will be releasing is the Volunteer Sign Up Tool. This has native integration into Event Calendar tool as well as Booostr Contact Manager (CRM).  As always the data flows where the data is needed!  We went into a bit more depth about this tool a couple of weeks ago in our Friday update.

Aside from our focus on the two updates above, we only pushed a couple of bug fixes including two updates to the Form Manager Tool to fix minor issues.  Beyond that we have some ongoing backend work we are working on related to the Email Marketing Tool server and the Site Builder Server. Both are primarily performance updates that should not impact the ability to use the tool.

With the holiday here, we will keep it short this week. Have a fantastic week and the next weekly update will be AFTER our next MAJOR update!

To continue our shift to transparent and open development of the platform, we also want to share some of the immediate things are that we are working on releasing.

• Volunteer Sign Up – Allow organizations to solicit help from supporters and approve or deny volunteers.
• Updated Front End Redesign launch – A complete rethinking of our website and application interface (in progress)
• Financial Manager Updates – Reporting and automation updates

While the week was shorter due to the Holiday, we are still pushing ahead.  We had hoped to have some bigger updates this week for the site launch, but alas it was not to be.  It looks to be a few more weeks before we get it off the ground!
