This week was a QUICK week for Booostr. With the collision of both Diwali and Halloween this week, it really made tangible updates difficult. Furthermore, because the team was essentially off from Wednesday evening on – pushing updates live could have opened a few cans of worms!
Following on last week’s update, we are still focused primarily on the Event Calendar Tool and Volunteer Sign Up as well. We had a few issues and needs that arose around the Form Tool as well which are being worked on in parallel. It never ceases to amaze me how many development balls we have in the air at one time. That being said, we are making incredible progress on all fronts.
So here is a little overview to give a little insight into the features we are working on this past week. Most of these will launch next week with a bulk happening at the beginning of the week. First we are adding the ability to customize FORM landing pages a bit more. We are updating the Headline Element and Text Area Element to give some key styling options so that organizations can make text bold, link to items, add bullet points etc. Nothing too crazy, but definitely key elements needed! In addition to the styling we are also allowing an optional header image on the form landing page. This gives the form a little more personal feel while keeping the design clean. Beyond those features, we are updating some technical things around the CSV/Excel data results file formatting, making the embed code dynamic to fit longer forms and upgrading the UX for the File Upload form element as well. While these may not seem the most critical updates, they are necessary to help complete the form tool and make it fully usable for any organization!
In parallel to these updates, we are also pushing forward with updates to the Calendar around Embed code, and a few new features to help it integrate with the Volunteer Sign Up tool – which is also in progress. Overall the updates that are currently happening are helping to make the system much more useful for all organizations and how they need to engage with supporters and grow their nonprofit.
